Kim and David’s wedding day at Rhinegeist Brewery was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful weddings are rooted in intention, connection, and presence. Located in the heart of Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, Rhinegeist provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding day that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

From the moment the day began, there was a calm, steady energy. Kim’s bridal details were soft and timeless. Her engagement ring resting gently on her bouquet, delicate jewelry, and a gown that felt classic yet effortless! Every detail felt carefully chosen, not overdone, which allowed the focus to remain where it belonged, on the two of them.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings as a Cincinnati wedding photographer is documenting the quiet moments before everything unfolds. Kim spent her morning surrounded by the people she loves most. There were gentle laughs, deep breaths, and those fleeting moments of anticipation that make wedding mornings so special. The natural light pouring through the windows at Rhinegeist highlighted the textures of her dress and the softness of her bouquet in the most beautiful way.

David’s portraits captured that same quiet confidence. His tailored blue suit paired perfectly with the industrial character of the space. Standing beneath warm lighting, surrounded by exposed brick and textured walls, his portraits felt timeless and grounded. Rhinegeist Brewery offers such a unique balance of historic character and modern design, making it an ideal venue for couples who want something non-traditional yet refined.

The ceremony space was simple and intentional. Rows of black chairs lined the floor, softened by lush floral arrangements that guided the aisle. Exposed brick walls and tall windows created an intimate setting that felt warm and inviting without needing much added decor. It’s one of the reasons Rhinegeist is such a standout wedding venue in Cincinnati. The space speaks for itself.

After the ceremony, Kim and David took time to slow down and be present with one another. Their portraits together felt natural and unforced. Hands intertwined, quiet smiles exchanged, moments of laughter in between. These are always my favorite moments to photograph. The ones that aren’t about posing, but about simply being together!

Of course, no Rhinegeist Brewery wedding would be complete without acknowledging what makes the venue so iconic. The beer taps made an appearance, adding a playful, unmistakably Cincinnati element to their gallery. Brewery weddings have a way of blending celebration with comfort, and Kim and David embraced that fully. Their reception felt relaxed, welcoming, and true to who they are.

Some of my favorite images from the day came from the darker, moodier corners of the venue. Rich wood paneling, soft lighting, and quiet moments tucked away from the crowd created images that felt cinematic and timeless. These spaces allowed Kim and David to step away, even briefly, and take in the weight and joy of the day together.

Kim and David, thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day. Your Rhinegeist Brewery wedding was an honor to photograph, and your gallery is a beautiful reflection of a day rooted in love, intention, and connection.

ABOUT the pullins

Specializing in telling your love story. We believe your love is a beautiful story deserving of being told, but there's a reason why... and it's personal

Ken + Karina Pullin. That's us. We eloped in 2020 in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. That meant an empty courthouse, no dress, no photographer, and no story told. That's the reason we are so passionate about what we do. It's a feeling opposite of what anyone should feel. That feeling is what makes us passionate about making sure your love story is told and preserved forever.
