Dylan and Aly drove all the way from Illinois for their engagement session, and that alone tells you a lot about them. They chose the Ohio Statehouse as their backdrop, and it could not have fit them better!

We started the evening wandering through the marble halls and along the steps. There is something so timeless about that space. It feels steady and strong, and honestly, so do they. Being around them just feels easy. Calm. Like they are exactly where they are meant to be.

Aly is a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, and Dylan absolutely indulges it. Their playlists can swing from Taylor to country to early 2000s hip hop without skipping a beat. I love that about them. They are sentimental, but they are also playful.

After the Statehouse, we ended the night in German Village with their dogs. This part felt especially sweet. Snow lined the sidewalks, the trees were bare, and the neighborhood was quiet in that peaceful winter way. Watching them walk side by side with their dogs felt like getting a glimpse into their everyday life together.

They crouched down in the cold to hug their dogs close. Aly’s smile when she looks at Dylan is the kind that feels genuine and unguarded. He steadies the leash with one hand and looks back at her like this is just home for him. It was simple and real and full of love.

They get married this July, and if this evening was any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with so much joy. The steady kind. The lasting kind.

Dylan and Aly, thank you for making the trip. Goose + Rose is already counting down to July with you!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT the pullins

Specializing in telling your love story. We believe your love is a beautiful story deserving of being told, but there's a reason why... and it's personal

Ken + Karina Pullin. That's us. We eloped in 2020 in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. That meant an empty courthouse, no dress, no photographer, and no story told. That's the reason we are so passionate about what we do. It's a feeling opposite of what anyone should feel. That feeling is what makes us passionate about making sure your love story is told and preserved forever.
