There’s something timeless about love captured in a space built to celebrate beauty—and Kimmy and Alec’s session at the Columbus Museum of Art was nothing short of cinematic.
Set among ornate frames, textured brushstrokes, and soft gallery light, this session felt like walking through a living oil painting. Every stolen glance and gentle touch between them echoed the intimacy of the artwork surrounding them. It was quiet, romantic, and artfully unscripted—the kind of energy that makes you want to whisper in hallways and hold your breath so you don’t miss a moment.
One of my favorite frames was of them tucked between two paintings, their reflection just barely visible in the glass. There’s something so layered and symbolic about it—two people stepping into a lifelong masterpiece, still unfinished, still unfolding.
Kimmy’s gown draped like sculpture, and Alec’s suit brought a touch of classic charm, both contrasting beautifully with the rustic textures of the art. Every detail—from the tender reach of their hands to the knowing smiles they exchanged—felt like it belonged in the gallery forever.
This is why I love documentary-style photography. It’s about honoring the in-between. The pauses. The pieces of your story that feel small now but will feel like everything someday.
